Very small units

• we found a small aluminium box (233w x 285d x 43h)
• the mother board's dimensions (146 x 203) is particularly well suited for such a box.
• a PCI riser slot allows the use of standard PCI cards within 1U height. The 1.2in gives a 4.4cm box, and the 0.96in reduces to a 4cm box.
• a CompactFlash Memory Card which is really smaller than a hard drive

• The front panel is so small that we'll have to choose between a large LCD and a comfortable keypad. 4 keys are generally enough, but 6 are better for navigation.
• The CPU heatsink and fan are already small, compared to what is commonly found in home PCs, but it is still very high. We were trying to make a new heatsink ourselves, with a small fan when we heard that tennmax makes very small ones.
