The CPU |
Choose a low-power CPU. AMD's latest 486-DX/4-100 ran at 3V
and kept cool with a good heatsink. Avoid Pentiums and
5Volts-486s. We used a DX/4-120 with a big
Pentium heatsink pasted onto it and no fan. A fan only heats
up ambient air, and if it stops, it may destroy your system due to
global overheating.
